Naturally Tinted Lip Balm

DIY Naturally Tinted Lip Balm

Naturally Tinted Lip Balm Recipe:
2 Tablespoons coconut oil
1 Tablespoon jojoba or olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons cocoa butter
1 Tablespoon beeswax
1 teaspoon vitamin E oil
9-18 drops Essential oils of your choosing
1 teaspoons Alkanet Root Powder

In a double boiler or over low heat, melt the coconut oil, jojoba or olive oil, cocoa butter, and beeswax. Stir until melted.

Remove from heat and add vitamin E oil, alkanet root powder, and essential oils. Stir well in order to combine all the oils and distribute the alkanet root powder evenly throughout the mixture.

Pour into your containers and allow to cool until hardened.

Yields about 12 5.5ml Lip Balm tubes or 1/4 cup. I upcycled an empty lip balm container and found the other containers at Wal-Mart in the travel-size section.

Once you take it off the heat, work FAST. It starts to set almost immediately.

This lip balm is amazing! I LOVE the light tint and the moisturizing feeling of this balm.
