65 grams soy wax
10 grams shea butter
45 drops essential oils (2% dilution)
Use a kitchen scale to measure each ingredient and tare (zero) in between. Add ingredients to a small saucepan and heat on low heat just until melted.
Pour into 4 oz tin container and add wick. You may have to trim it to make it stand up on it’s own. Theoretically, you should tie it to something and let it hang straight down, but I’m a rebel.
To wash the pan, soy wax IS water soluble, so you can add soap and barely scrub and then rinse with water. Easy peasy!
I multiplied my recipe by 3 and did all three at once. It came out to three 4 oz containers perfectly.
Once wax is hardened, trim wick to 1/4 inch above wax. Light candle until wax melts a bit and then blow out. Wait a couple of minutes for it to cool slightly and then use as a massage oil or lotion.
