7 Ounces Warm Water
2 Tablespoons Conditioner of your choice
125 Drops Tea Tree Oil or Lice Away (2% Dilution)
Add warm water to 8 oz spray bottle. Squirt in about 2 Tablespoons of Conditioner and shake until combined. Add Essential Oil and shake again. Shake before every use.
1 Tablespoon Beeswax
1 Teaspoon Cocoa Butter
1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil
0.25 Teaspoon Vitamin E oil
0.5 Teaspoons Alkanet Root Powder (Optional)
8 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil
Add first three ingredients to a double-boiler. Heat on medium heat until melted, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and add Vitamin E oil and ALkanet Root Powder if using, and Peppermint Oil. Mix until combined.
Pour into containers.
Yields about 6 Lip Balm Tubes (0.15 oz).
Merry Christmas from my heart to yours.
1 Cup Sugar
3/4 Cup Oil (I used Sunflower)
2 TBSP Powdered Milk
1 Tsp Grated Nutmeg
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract (the real stuff)
3 Drops Nutmeg Essential Oil (Optional)
5 Drops Vanilla CO2 Extract (Optional)
Also, Go Crazy and add 1 TBSP of Rum or Bourbon as well if you want.
I’d use within a few days because of the milk powder.
Since I started my journey in handmade ,well, anything, I’ve been having a blast. It’s the perfect excuse for “Me Time” and I love sharing my ideas with you.
Now you can see some of those ideas on http://thesnapmom.com as well! We’ve partnered together so that once a month, I will do an in-depth photo tutorial on one of my own creations!
So excited for this opportunity!
You can see my very first post here! I was so excited to be asked, I forgot to add my watermark! Ha! I’ll fix that next time.
1/2 Cup Salt (TIP! Blend or Process your salt so the grains are finer!)
1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
Mix together first three ingredients. Knead until a dough is formed.
Roll out and cut out shapes or you can make this cute Hand Print Santa by having your child press their hand into the dough and then use a sharp knife to cut out around it.
Poke a hole the top for a ribbon using a straw.
Place ornaments on a foil or parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 200F for 3 hours or until dough is dry.
Let cool completely and sand any rough edges.
Paint Front of ornament (Optional)
Once complete and dry, flip over and use 1-3 drops of essential oils depending on how big they are. Mine are larger, so I did 2 drops Fir Needle and 1 drop Sweet Orange.
Add ribbon and it’s ready for the tree!
