Scented Salt Dough Ornaments

Scented Santa Salt Dough

INGREDIENTS
1/2 Cup Salt (TIP! Blend or Process your salt so the grains are finer!)
1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
1/4 Water
Essential Oils

DIRECTIONS
Mix together first three ingredients. Knead until a dough is formed.

Roll out and cut out shapes or you can make this cute Hand Print Santa by having your child press their hand into the dough and then use a sharp knife to cut out around it.

Poke a hole the top for a ribbon using a straw.

Place ornaments on a foil or parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 200F for 3 hours or until dough is dry.

Let cool completely and sand any rough edges.

Paint Front of ornament (Optional)

Once complete and dry, flip over and use 1-3 drops of essential oils depending on how big they are. Mine are larger, so I did 2 drops Fir Needle and 1 drop Sweet Orange.

Add ribbon and it’s ready for the tree!
